How do I put money in my child’s account?

There are three ways to deposit money into your child’s account.

1. You can send a check payment to the Food Service Department at 400 East Washington Street, Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44022, ATTN:   Food Service Director.  (Make checks payable to Chagrin Falls Food Service Dept.)

2. You can make payments on line through the Food Service Solution’s website (www.myschoolaccount.com) You are able to deposit money into you child’s account by using your credit card to make a payment.

3. During the school year you can send money to school with your child. Your child can then drop this deposit off in the office or designated area in each school in the morning. For security reasons, we recommend that advanced payments be sent in the form of a check. Please write the student’s name on the check. Preprinted blue lunch envelopes are available at each office as well in Food Service Department for your convenience. Cashiers will hand an envelope to your child when their balance is running low. All money that is brought into the school via this method will not be applied until the following day.

How can I be sure my child is only buying lunch with the money I deposit? Unless you let us know otherwise, your child may use the money on his or her account to buy any item we sell. You can make requests to place a purchasing restriction on your child’s account by contacting the Food Service Department at 440-24-2453.

My child is approved for free meals. Your child will have an account just like every other student in the school. You may also place money in your child’s account for a la carte items if you choose to do so.

My child is approved for reduced meals. Your child will have an account just like every other student in the school, and $0.40 will be deducted from their account for each meal. You can also pay the amount daily. If you do not want your child’s meal account money to be used for snacks please contact the Food Service Department at 440-247- 2453.

How much money may I deposit? You determine the amount that is right for you.  There is no limit to the amount of money that can be deposited into a debit account. We recommend that you deposit enough money for at least two weeks of meals in order to reduce paperwork and time for both you and the food service staff.

How do I know what my child is eating? You can view up to a months worth of transactions by viewing the transaction history page on (www.myschoolaccount.com).  This will allow you to view all of the transactions, including payments that have been made within the last 30 days of your child’s --account. You may also request information from the Food Service Department at 440-247-2453.
