HIGH SCHOOL
Lisa Salyers, Chagrin Falls High School teacher, recently had Mr. Chris Stakich, a former student of hers and Harvard graduate, speak with her science classes. Mr. Stakich is one of the founders of Thinking Beyond Boarders, a program designed for gap year students to explore international development through global service learning and academic study. Their goal is to empower students as agents of change on global issues in an ever growing global environment.
Tickets Are Available Now for the Student Musical “Oklahoma”
Saddle up your horses and bring the whole family down to see the Chagrin Falls’ students perform Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma” at the Chagrin Falls Performing Arts Center, 400 East Washington Street, Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Join the crowd on Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. or catch the Sunday, April 13 Matinee at 2:00 p.m. You will be entertained by 80 student cast members from grades 5 -12 while 20 student crew members work the sets.
“Oklahoma” is a tale of cowhands and farmers finding both love and their community in the Oklahoma territory. You will catch your self singing along with this shows’ memorable songs including “Oh What a Beautiful Mornin”, “The Surrey With the Fringe on Top”, and “People Will Say We’re in Love”.
Tickets may be purchased by calling 440-247-2072 ext. 4288 or by filling out a form available at Chagrin Falls High School. Reserved seating is available for 412 and general admission seating is $9 for adults and $7 for students. Ticket orders will be filled on a first come first served basis.
