CFMS - Activities and Clubs

Builder's Club:

Open to any student, this group's main purpose is to perform acts of service for the school and community. It is a yearlong club.

Destination Imagination:

Any 7th & 8th grade student may join.  Challenges are looked at through problem-solving strategies and multi-intelligences.

Drama Club:

Any 7th & 8th grade student may join.  Sign-ups are in the fall.

Jazz Band:

Students in Grades 7 & 8 audition for this group.  They rehearse and perform throughout the year.

National Junior Honor Society:

Students are chosen in 7th grade based on G.P.A. requirement, activity form and selection by the faculty council.  Students then participate    throughout their 8th grade year.

Newspaper:

Any student may join to participate in the production (writing/interviewing/drawing) of the quarterly newspapers.  There are monthly meetings.

Percussion Ensemble:

All percussion students are invited to join this group that rehearses and performs throughout the school year.

Power of the Pen:

Any student may try out.  Teams of six members are selected at each grade level for creative writing competition.

Select Choir:

Our choir director holds auditions at the beginning of the school year. Students rehearse and perform throughout the school year.

Ski Club:

Any student may join by signing up and paying a fee.  Five sessions are held on Friday evenings through the winter ski season.

Student Council:

Any student may run for election by completing an application.  The student body elects members by grade.  These members may then run for office and may be selected for Principal's Advisory Council or Student Advisory Council.

Talent Show:

Students try out for this annual spring show.

Yearbook:

Any student is welcome to join the group to help design the school's yearbook
